MISSION

At Centerville High School we work together to develop academic potential, to instill leadership
qualities, and to provide a safe and friendly learning environment.

VISION

The administration, faculty and support staff of Centerville High School will provide all students an equal opportunity to gain knowledge, obtain leadership skills and develop healthy work habits. Growth opportunities will be afforded to all students by incorporating higher standards and a wide variety of academic and extra-curricular activities. It is our purpose to assist all students in acquiring skills necessary to become successful and productive leaders in today’s society.

PHILOSOPHY

The administration, faculty and support staff of Centerville High School believes that each individual is valuable and that all students are entitled to educational programs that will change and adapt according to state and federal mandates. In addition to academic requirements, CHS provides meaningful leadership training to develop skills such as problem solving, responsibility, self-discipline, ownership and acceptable social behaviors.

CHS fosters an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual respect among students, administration, faculty, support staff, parents, and community. Through the curriculum, effective teaching methods, and teachers’ professional growth and extracurricular activities, our school strives for healthy, physical, emotional, moral, cultural, vocational and social development of each individual.

The provided combination of academic and leadership instruction is designed to assist students achieve their maximum potential, encouraging them to lead productive adult lives.
